Sculpture, Digital Imaging
26.7" x 20"
The goal of this image is to mimic the aesthetics of
a diorama. The scene is of a Carboniferious period
fern forest. The composition features one of my
wooden bi-truncated cubic honeycomb sculptures
in an obviously fake landscape. The trees are
scanned images of fern. The flying insects are
models of bees that I created using tiny cones and
Bigleaf Maple helicopter seeds.
